Immigration Inspections

If you are applying for a visa to the UK (either as a visitor or permanant settlement) the UK authorities require you or the sponsor to provide evidence of the housing condition of your proposed accommodation, to accompany your application. This evidence must be from an independent body such as a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner (CEHP). MRA can provide a Immigration Housing Report that will fulfill all the Immigration Authority requirements.

We can arrange inspection of the sponsors accommodation. The inspection will involve our CEHP assessing that the property:

1) Is free from Category 1 and 2 Hazards under the Housing Act 2004,
2) Is in reasonable state of repair,
3) Has sufficient space to accommodate both the current occupiers and any additional people who propose to live there, and
4) Is free from conditions that may present a public health nuisance.

The following information will be required to support the inspection:

1) Name, Date of Birth and Passport Number of the person seeking entry to the UK,
2) Copy of a Tenancy Agreement or Proof of Ownership of the property, and
3) Name and Date of Birth of other occupants in the property to be inspected
4) Current Gas Safety Certificate for the property.

MRA carries out Immigration Inspections for clients for a cost of £200*. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

Please note: The Immigration Authorities will not accept reports that are greater than 12 weeks old.
